The impact of business environment on company’s performance : case study : HAMOUD BOUALEM SPA ALGERIA
(The School of Higher Commercial Studies, 2024-06) REDJALA, Nesrine; CHAABANI, Widad (Directeur de thèse)
This study examines the impact of the business environment on corporate performance, with a specific focus on Hamoud Boualem, a leading company in Algeria. The research explores how external factors such as regulatory changes, economic conditions, technological advancements, and evolving consumer preferences influence business operations and strategic decisions. Guided by the primary question, "What is the impact of the business environment on corporate performance?" and secondary questions about the strategic tools used to analyze the environment and describe Hamoud Boualem's business environment, the study tests two hypotheses: that a favorable business environment positively impacts corporate performance, and that strategic analysis tools help clarify the company's environment and vision. Using a qualitative research methodology, including interviews and case studies, the findings confirm both hypotheses. A stable, supportive, and growth-oriented business environment enhances operational efficiency, profitability, and growth. Additionally, strategic analysis tools, such as SWOT, PESTEL analyses and Porter 5 forces model, effectively describe the business environment. The study highlights the importance of continuous environmental scanning, innovation, regulatory compliance, cost management, and technological advancement for companies operating in dynamic environments. Despite facing challenges such as limited data access, time constraints, and methodological limitations, the research provides valuable insights into the relationship between the business environment and corporate performance. Future research should expand the scope to include multiple companies and adopt quantitative methods to further validate and generalize the findings.
