dc.description.abstractIn an economiccontextwhere sales prices are dictated by the market and resources are available to anyeconomic agent wishing to engage in a gainfulactivity, the companyisobliged to look for other issues to guaranteeitsprofitability and continuity. The procurementfunctionis one of the elementsthatallow the company to acquire a competitiveadvantagethatdifferentiatesitfromitscompetitors. The position has gained a major importance in the scientificfield as well as in the business field, which has attractedinterestamongresearchers and companyexecutives. SinceAlgeriais open to the world, itis not immune to the requirements of the currentcontext, whichrequires the establishment of a structure organizingthisfunction and itsintegrationintoitsdevelopmentstrategy. In thisworkwewilltry to study the procurementfunction in the company in general, to try to understand the functioning of the purchaseswithin the Algerian organizations, even if its performance ismeasured, as well as to list the main constraintswhichhinderitsprocess
