dc.description.abstractThe unconventional hydrocarbons are well distributed in the world and represent a strategic resource whose exploitation could make it possible to supplement the conventional hydrocarbon contributions and to partly ensure future the energetic of planet. SONATRACH is an oil company, it is a major player in the field of oil and gas. Which places it today, the first hydrocarbon company in Africa and the Mediterranean, and it is the main enterprise that is making a difference in the economy of the country, so working in the international field is one of its principal activities. All the relations with the foreign countries and all the businesses are based on the methods of payment on the international framework. The objective of this study is to compare the difference between the documentary credit and the documentary remittance form the company of SONATRACH. After our analysis we realized even with the importance of the documentary credit and its security and advantages but the company choose to work and deal in its business with the documentary remittance because its less expensive than the CREDOC
