Abstract
The Covid-19 crisis has unprecedentedly impacted many sectors globally since its first
appearance in 2019, such as tourism, health, trade.
The automotive sector has also been hit hard by the epidemic. The automotive supply chain,
in particular, has been weakened by this global phenomenon. Despite the gradual easing of
government restrictions, the impact of Covid-19 can still be felt in the automotive industry.
The sector had to adjust to the new situation, evaluate the risks that appeared and implement
effective supply chain strategies to decrease the negative impact of the pandemic, and this
can be done by establishing management risk strategies.
Risk management has always been the subject of research. Since every organisation faces
many challenges throughout the year, Searching for causes, consequences, and solutions is
every economic actor's field of interest, especially regarding the automotive supply chain and
the transport challenge during the Covid-19 era.
Although risk management has many approaches, such as Agile risk management, that
proved effective in the face of the risk that occurred during the global health crisis.
Renault was no exception; the world's leading automotive manufacturer also faced many
transport and supply chain challenges. Its success depends on establishing strategies to
increase the performance of the automotive supply chain regardless of the risk faced during
the pandemic.
Through this work, we will be able to detect firsthand the impact of the Covid-19 on the
automotive supply chain, precisely the transport function and the adoption of risk
management with all of its approaches.
